What can I do?

Want to help us in our work? There are many things you can do to make a difference in the lives of domestic violence victims and their children:

Donate Money: We are grateful for all monetary donations. Unrestricted dollars enable us to apply the money where it is most needed.

Volunteer. Once trained, volunteers can work in any capacity at the agency. You can take a shift on the hotline, or work with children, or provide victims with court accompaniment. Call now to find out how to become a volunteer.

Speak Out. Domestic violence thrives in silence and denial. Don't tolerate or condone acts of violence in your own life.
Write letters to the editor, speak in public. Support legislation that protects DV victims and their children.

Don't Be Shy. Speak to a friend if you think they might be in an abusive relationshp. Let them know they can get free help. Let them know you care, and that you're there to listen. It could save her/his life!

Domestic abuse exists in same-sex relationships, in senior relationships, and in teen dating relationships..

Hitting people in your family isn't about frustration, and it's not excused by economic conditions, educational attainment, or cultural background. It's about power, pure and simple.
